2005 Edible Books Benefit
Many thanks to all who made the 30th Anniversary Benefit: Edible Books such a great success. We could not have done it without the tireless help of all our wonderful volunteers and the talented artists and chefs. The space was magically transformed, with hundreds of yards of draped fabric to create a mystical tent-like atmosphere. Entertainment was provided by Matt Snyder on the clarinet and Nick Mancini on the vibraphone. We gratefully acknowledge Macari Vineyards for the wonderful donation of white wine, Gregory King for the champagne and red wine donation, and to Pernod Ricard for the Wild Turkey and Seagram's Gin.
In addition to the Middle Eastern fare, catered by Moustache, attendees dined on the delightfully delicious edible books! We were so fortunate to have the participation of chefs from the French Culinary Institute, who generously donated their time and culinary expertise. Chefs include Kir Rodriguez, Lauri Ditunno, Jurgen David, Sophie Reiter & Yajaira Valle, Sharon Lewis & Melissa Kaye, and Diane Rossomando.
We also took this opportunity to honor the unfaltering dedication of several individuals: John Ross, Barbara Mauriello, Sharon Dolin, Joan K. Davidson, Richard Minsky, and of course, Lizzie la Gata. On behalf of the Board of Directors and Benefit Planning Committee, we extend a warm thanks to all who attended the memorable event and who contributed their invaluable time and support.
