Sara Parkel is a bookbinder, printmaker, and book artist. She is the proprietor of Filter Press and an active member of Booklyn (www.booklyn.org). She has worked professionally as a letterpress printer and bookbinder, has taught classes in bookbinding/book arts, and has been a visiting artist at the elementary through college level. Her artist books are included in several public and private collections from the Boston Public Library to the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago.
