Join us tonight for a special artist talk with Brett Bloom of Temporary Services.Brett Bloom will give a presentation on Temporary Services' activities with an emphasis on the role that publishing plays in works such as those on view in the exhibition Artists' Books as (Sub) Culture, which closes at the Center for Book Arts this coming Saturday, March 28. A short discussion/Q&A will follow.
Brett will also speak about Temporary Services' latest publications, including Public Phenomena (a multi-city examination of informal modifications of every day public space and their implications for changing city use) and four booklets in their Temporary Conversations interview series (Kawabata Makoto, Tim Kerr, The Dicks, and the latest: Jean Toche / Guerilla Art Action Group).
