A Longstitch Variation
Adapted from Medieval limp vellum longstitch bindings, this version has archival stitching through the cover and over leather straps. The straps lace into the cover and the covers forms around the underlying internal straps. The perfect cover material is handmade, hand-dyed-and beautiful-paper from Cave Papers.Susan Mills October 25 , Sunday, 10am - 4pm Susan Mills is a bookbinder who has operated her own bindery since 1990. She teaches hand bookbinding at Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and her book works can be found in institutions and libraries throughout the United States and Canada.
