Pop-Up Paper Engineering
The magic of pop-up paper engineering is discovered in a series of in-depth, hands-on classes revealing the secrets behind this age-old science. This course examines and explains the true elegance and simplicity of paper folding and cutting to create three-dimensional masterpeices that also serve as vehicles for your own personal artwork and designs. Students will learn how to create many pop-up cards using the V-Fold, Step, Spiral and Fan, Spinners, Pull Tabs and more.Laura Carmelita Bellmont June 29 - August 31 , ten Monday evenings, 6 - 9pm Laura Carmelita Bellmont grew up on the plains of Colorado. She graduated from Pratt Institute's Illustration department with a focus on pop up after studying under Matthew Reinhart of Robert Sabuda's team. She currently does 3-D display installations in Soho and works from her studio in Brooklyn.
