Caterpillar Stitch
We will begin by sewing onto a card to experience this sewing’s multiple variations. It can be utilized for many structures including photo albums, scrapbook and journals, as well as incorporating various folding forms for artist’s books. The sewing works well with most papers and folios with various thicknesses. The sewing is developed through building up the core and packing the threads, which allows for a flexible slinky action of the spine and compensates for storage of photos, collage and other materials. You can also sew this stitch supported to enhance the spine thickness. Variations of board attachment and end sheet preparation will compliment this handsome book structure. Deadline to register: One week before the class starts.
