classes in the bindery
Artist Portfolio/Press BookThis workshop is intended for artists and designers who would like to create their own beautiful and professional portfolio. The Portfolio/Press Book is a slim and simple alternative to bound portfolios allowing for interchangeability of pages over time. The structure uses screw posts and flanges along the spine that act to secure pages and hide the posts. The book in this workshop will be designed to accommodate standard 3-hole pages or plastic sleeves. Alternative and unique fold-out pages will also be presented and discussed. Students will learn fundamental measuring techniques to work with screw posts, spine flanges and larger scale materials.
