Later Bright is the Ring of Words 1997 Mixed media octagon book in the round 8" x 13" x 13" text by Robert Louis Stevenson Bright is the ring of words by Robert Louis Stevenson is a color coded alphabet book in the round. Each color represents a letter of the alphabet and the viewer is challenged to decipher the poem. Two clues are provided. The letters of the title words are cut out of the colors they represent. For those who “give-up” the challenge, the actual poem is inserted behind each of the eight segment on the white sheets. And to make it even easier, the color chips on top represent the first word on the page. The piece is designed in the round signifying the "ring of words." |
