Viviane Rombaldi Seppey was born in Sion, Switzerland. She began her art practice in Australia where she obtained her BFA and completed her MFA in 2004 in Singapore. She is a multi media artist. Ordinary places, nature and objects such as phonebooks, maps are the support to create works that relate to and question the ideas of belonging and identity. She had exhibitions in Australia, Singapore and New York. In 2008-09 she was recipient of the Lower East Side Printshop Key Holder Residency, in New York City. One of her project was installed, during the summer 2009, at The Carriage House, Islip Art Museum, Islip, New York. She is currently working on an installation for the Sun Room Project, Wave Hill, Bronx to be install at the end of August 2010. She is living and working in New York City.
