In addition to my albums of landscape photographs, I began making books wherein the objects and people featured suggest a back-story. There are rooms where the characters lived and celebrated. There were lives, loves, families, livelihoods to be pursued, various activities and interests. Once those people were busy living, but now they’re gone. I am interested in what remains, including the ghosts that hover at the edge of the work. I am fascinated by time and the marks it cuts on us all, what it leaves behind and what we will never know.
