An award winning artist, I have had fourteen one person exhibits and participated in over one hundred group exhibits. These included exhibitions in Europe, Japan and Canada as well as in the United States. My media include painting, installations and artist books. My art training, primarily in painting, occurred at the Boston Museum School, the University of Hawaii and the University of Rhode Island. Over the years, the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts has twice awarded me Artist Fellowships, a conduit grant and an S.O.S. grant for my work. My art works are in a number of public collections and many private collections. My early artist books were generated and printed by computers, based on individual programs that I wrote. The Museum of Modern Art in NYC acquired one of these books. More recently my books have been installations (see images and website) and in some cases with viewer interaction.
