Diane M. Stemper
Plat 21 StudioOxford, OH
I make one of a kind artist’s books that utilized linoleum prints, found objects, text and drawing. I am interested in the relationship and contradictions between science, nature and the confines of contemporary daily living. Insects, microbes, dust and clouds have been focal points for my work as I try to find the intersecting edge between natural occurrences and human response and action. My latest art work is inspired by the corn and soy fields near my house and the seemingly romantic yet disturbingly engineered field. Diane M. Stemper's work appeared in the following exhibition(s) organized by The Center for Book Arts Celebrating Artist Members: 30th Anniversary Members Exhibition |
