Diane M. StemperPlat 21 Studio
I make one of a kind artistís books that utilized linoleum prints, found objects, text and drawing. I am interested in the relationship and contradictions between science, nature and the confines of contemporary daily living. Insects, microbes, dust and clouds have been focal points for my work as I try to find the intersecting edge between natural occurrences and human response and action. My latest art work is inspired by the corn and soy fields near my house and the seemingly romantic yet disturbingly engineered field.
